Janet Hamm

Janet has been the proud owner of Hair Expressions for 15 years and has 27 years experience in the field. She is a strong believer in continuing education and has taken advanced courses in Canada and the US. When Janet isn't working she enjoys working in her gardens.

Dawn McDonald-Tidd

Dawn adds many talents to our team. Her long experience includes 11 years on hair, 10 years esthetician, and 10 years in nails. Dawn studied in Middleton at Nova Scotia Community College. She has also taken courses in multiple provinces. She is also proficient in advanced artwork on nails.

Deanna Curran

Deanna is a Master stylist who has 20 years experience in the Beauty industry. During her many years with Hair Expressions she has and will continue to take as much advanced education in the areas of color, design and the newest trends, as is possible. This enables her to stay fresh and motivated to better serve the clientele of Hair Expressions. When Deanna has spare time, she enjoys anything crafty or creative and spending time with family and friends.

Heidi Amelia Deboer

Heidi is a general esthetician and is working towards becoming a Master. She completed the Essential Wax-Brazilian wax course with 100%. In addition to waxing she does makeup artistry, gives lessons, does application and weddings. She is a graduate of the Concept School of Cosmetology. Heidi is passionate about skin care and loves working with Bioelements and hopes to further her education in skin care.

Jessica Findlay

Jessica is a graduate of the Cosmetology program at NSCC Middleton campus. Jessica's radiant smile and optimistic outlook on life, combined with her eager attitude to constantly enhance her unique talents through ongoing education make her a welcome member of the Hair Expressions team. When not at work she enjoys her special time with family and friends.

Kim Goodall

Kim is a general esthetician and is working towards becoming a Master. She graduated from Middleton NSCC, Esthetics Program, in 2006 and continues her education by attending Bioelements workshops and courses. Microdermabrasion is among one of her accredited courses. Kim really enjoys being an esthetician and helping make others feel good about themselves. She specializes in Microdermabrasion, facials, body massages, manicures, pedicures, and waxing. She finds her position here at Hair Expressions extremely rewarding and the atmosphere exhilarating.

Lee Scott

Lee is a nail technician and uses OPI Auxxium Gels. She is also a makeup artist with over 10 years freelance experience. She is currently using Bioelements, but also works with MAC and Aveda.

Allison Hewlett

Originally from Newfoundland, Allison moved to the Annapolis Valley two years ago from Alberta, and has been enjoying the down-home feeling that the Valley offers. Started nail career in 2006, and loves the creativity that can be expressed with nails. Outside of work, Allison sings beautifully as a part of the duo, VALLIE, who just released their first CD.

Emily Nicholson

Emily has been a hairstylist in the Annapolis Valley for five years and just recently joined our team. Graduating from NSCC, Emily continues to strive to improve her talents by continuing her education and mastering her skills. She is passionate about her profession and love to create new styles with new colors and cuts. She enjoys time with her two beautiful children and playing in the garden
